 What is Netiquette?

Netiquette is the acceptable way of communicating on the internet. If someone uses capital letters when texting another person they will think of it as yelling. When writing in all caps it is considered to be rude. Avoid arguing back in fourth. Netiquette is short for Internet Etiquette. The core rules of Netiquette rules are, always remember the human, always treat people how you want to be treated, know where you are in cyber space, respect other people’s time, make yourself look good while being online, share expert knowledge, help keep flame wars under control, respect others privacy, don’t abuse your power, and be forgiving of other people’s mistakes. Some bad netiquettes are making inappropriate jokes and posting or sending. Not proofreading before you hit send, because some people might not mean to type something and accidentally hit send. If someone asks for help and you ignore them. By not allowing a person their opinion. When you don’t respect people’s privacy. Arguing with someone online, everyone is considered their own opinion, but you shouldn’t let it get the best of you.
